Refund policy

Full refund within 14 days of purchase for license keys that have not been activated.

The short version

If you bought Cortex and haven’t activated your license key yet, you can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Once a key has been activated on a Mac, it can’t be refunded.

When you can get a refund

You can get a full refund when:

  • you ask within 14 days of the purchase date on your receipt, and
  • your license key has never been activated on a Mac.

You don’t need to give a reason.

When you can’t

A license key that has been activated on any Mac can’t be refunded, even if you later deactivate it.

Cortex has no trial, so check the features, requirements and FAQ before you activate. If you’re not sure Cortex will work on your Mac, ask us first at hello@cortexformac.com.

How to ask for a refund

Email hello@cortexformac.com from the address you used to buy Cortex, with your order number or license key. We check that the key hasn’t been activated and refund it through Creem, our payment provider, to your original payment method. The license key stops working as soon as the refund is issued.

How quickly the money reaches you depends on your bank or card issuer.

This policy doesn’t affect your rights under consumer protection law, including your rights if Cortex doesn’t work as described.
